Working in America, Europe, the UK, and Australia with a multitude of breeds and riding disciplines, he focuses on what is happening on both sides of the horse/human relationship and how the rider can clearly communicate while building trust. Mark has spent most of his adult life studying equine and human biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and movement, and has put these studies to practical use in his work with horse and riders. In this DVD, Mark helps viewers understand their horse's foot-fall and cadence by showing them how to determine when each individual foot is moving and where it is going. He then goes on to show how to use this movement to the rider's advantage during training and riding, and he also covers a number of issues that can interfere with the movement of the feet and how to avoid causing the interference.

As always Mark Rashid explains concepts simply and clearly, and covers subjects such as saddle fit and soundness, that contribute to movement. This DVD provides a necessary foundation in understanding that you can apply to your own riding.
